Anita Moradian

Anita Moradian Although born in Armenia, Anita Moradian is an all American L.A. kind of girl. Having moved to Los Angeles when she was three, Anita grew up playing volleyball, soccer and flag football and was class president of her high school before completing her undergrad at UCLA. I really donnt remember much about those early days,, says Anita recalling the move to L.A. I do remember having a lot of cousins and friends to play with. I enjoyed school and playing all kinds of sports, even flag football on a powder puff team. Now I follow UCLA. Go Bruins!! She graduated with honors at the top of her class in high school and went to UCLA. As a freshman in the whirlwind quarter system she found herself entrenched in studies revolving around pre-med. Eventually after completing a sports medicine internship, I decided that medical-legal issues interested me more than the practice of medicine. I then decided to pursue a legal education.. After graduating cum laude from UCLA, and on the Deanns List, she entered Loyola Law School where again she received top accolades including placing in the top 36 among her classmates in the Scott Moot Court Competition held on campus. She was also president of the Armenian Law Students Association. Shortly after law school she returned to Armenia where she was a volunteer intern at the Public Health Department at the American University of Armenia. It was an amazing experience and I loved the city,, she recalls. It was worlds away from Los Angeles and the life I had become used to, but I felt like what I was doing really had an impact on so many lives.. Anita has a long history of volunteering. She was member of the Plato Society at UCLA making regular presentations to senior citizen groups, she has served as a Workerrs Rights Volunteer for Neighborhood Legal Services, and as a mediator / conciliator for Loyolaas Center for Conflict Resolution. One of her first jobs as an attorney was on the plaintifffs side of medical malpractice, elder abuse and product liability. I liked the job, of course, but I had some friends who were in Workerss Comp defense and I thought that sounded even more interesting. One of my friends was Tony (Robert Mata, Los Angeles Office), and he encouraged me to seek a position with Benthale, McKibbin and McKnight.. Anita is now an associate attorney at the Los Angeles office of BM&M where she oversees an ever-growing caseload. I really like Workerss Comp law and everyone at the firm has been very supportive. I enjoy the fast pace of the office and being the best advocate for my client as possible. I also look forward to the challenges involved with litigating a case.. Away from the office Anita likes to spend time with family and friends and enjoys cooking, hiking, camping and traveling. Of course shees also a big Bruins fan. ### Although born in Armenia, Anita Moradian is an all American L.A. kind of girl.
